Bank/ Home Care Assistant
Working with our Service Users in a care home/ service users home setting you will help and support them in their day to day lives, on a day or night basis and to be sensitive to each service users individuals needs.
Help and promote an environment within the care home/ service users home that is non-institutionalised in its practices and that encourages and involves the service users in choices to promote and maintain whenever possible, their independence of living.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- To deliver Person Centred Care.
- To attend to all personal hygiene and care needs.
- Ensuring at all times that you respect, promote and maintain the service users dignity.
- To strip and remake beds as required.
- To give assistance with dressing, feeding and walking as required.
- To serve meals and drinks at meal times.
Your ability to interact well with people and to ensure that their dignity and quality of life are well maintained will be key to your success in this role.
All posts are available on Permanent or bank basis with hours ranging between 20 and 42 per week. Overtime is available.
Full on the job training is provided as required. Previous experience in a care setting is useful but not essential.
